The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at K.S.R. Polytechnic College successfully organized a one-week AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Advancement in Electric Vehicle Technology for a Greener Future in Transportation” from August 5th to 10th, 2024. The FDP was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. C. Bharatiraja, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He emphasized the importance of innovation in electric vehicle technology to achieve sustainable transportation and a greener future.
The programme featured expert sessions, hands-on training, and interactive discussions, focusing on the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in electric vehicle technology. Participants gained valuable insights into battery management systems, power electronics, energy storage solutions, and the integration of renewable energy in EV infrastructure.
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. M. Venkatesan, Principal of KSR College of Engineering, who highlighted the critical role of faculty in driving innovation and research in electric vehicle technology. The FDP was well-received, with participants expressing appreciation for the knowledge gained and its applicability in academia and industry.
