Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

The Indian Society for Technical Education of our KSR Polytechnic College organizes Faculty Training Programs, Short Term Courses, and Annual Conventions for faculty members to update their knowledge and skills through various activities for the overall development of the Technical Education system.

The faculty members are encouraged to attend the courses, present papers and publish articles at National and State Level Faculty Conventions held throughout India and enhance their knowledge and skills.

We organized, at the ISTE Annual Faculty Conventions, programme and activities organized by the ISTE Staff Chapter are recognized and appreciated, and they are bestowed with awards such as the ISTE Best Chapter Award, the ISTE Best Faulty Advisor Award, the ISTE Best Chairman Award and so on.

• To provide quality training programme to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity.
• To assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organizations.
• To provide guidance and training to faculty to enhance their skills and personality.
• To create effective linkage between technical institutions, Industry and society.

Objectives

The Indian Society for Technical Education Staff Chapter thrives on fostering an enthusiastic professional learning environment where faculty can update their technical knowledge to meet the ever-changing challenges of today's trends.

Activities of ISTE

• Curriculum development and updating.
• Organizing AICTE sponsored STTPs / FDPSs / Refresher cum Orientation Programmes for engineering teachers and practicing professionals.
• Conduct of special short-term programmes for teachers organized jointly by ISTE, Industry and other professional organizations.
• Organizing seminars/workshops/conferences on topics of relevance to Technical Education
• Undertaking faculty conventions at National and State level in the field of technical education
